Abstract
The author himself is a practicing police chief and a student of the Doctoral School of Law Enforcement at the National University of Public Service. On one hand he presents in his paper a portfolio of law enforcement undertakings in a Hungarian medium-sized city, Dunaújváros, and on the other hand the best practice of law enforcement in public employment. The study highlights the opportunities of Hungarian settlements in shaping public security. Outlines the legal background for the use of public employment for law enforcement purposes and the results of the research of the impact on public security. He also presents difficulties and results of the program Well-ordered Dunaújváros. The clear result of the program is to lead the way in the prevention and rapid and efficient elimination of smallscale disruptions affecting public security in the context of public employment.
